Location: No 275 Dalong Street, Taipei 103, Taiwan
After a visit to the National Palace Museum, we decided it was a day to cherish History; so we headed over to the Confucious Temple at Dalong street next! :P
Sweeping eaves, an oval entrance and walls of brown brick, Confucius Temple is one of the most historic buildings in Taipei. Temples to Confucius are a concrete symbol of Chinese Confucian culture. The Confucius Temple was built way back in 1879 and was well preserved till this very day.
You can travel by MRT to the Confucious Temple by stopping at the Shihlin Station and walk about 10 minutes...

We finally arrived at the temple... The Pan Palace (East Gate) entrance at the front entrance with nice crafted dragons sitting elegantly on the walls...

On the side walk, there were monkey statues so we stopped and took a couple of photos! HAHA!

"I SEE NO EVIL", "HEAR NO EVIL", "TALK NO EVIL"! :)

The Hong Gate another entrance from the West...

You can buy some cards below for good prayers to your loved ones...

After going through the date, one can see the Da Cheng Hall standing in the middle of the broad stone courtyard. The Da Cheng Hall is the main building of a Confucius temple, and the tablet of Confucius is placed here.

A nice photo of an old man playing his flute and the wonderful music filled the ambience that day! :P

More historic items you see around... :)

The Ling Xi Gate!

Nice architecture...

A random shot of me with some bamboo trees.. LOL! :P

The QiLing Graphic at Wan Ren Palace Wall...

Me standing on the Pan Pond and the three-arch stone bridge...

Shida Night Market @ Taan District!
During the night we decided to head over to the famous Shida Night Market (traditional Chinese: 師大路夜市). The real action of the night market takes place in several side streets of Shida road. Usually packed with students and tourist alike since it's located near the National Taiwan University.
Food vendors sell dou hua, dumplings, Taiwanese sausages, fried chicken, noodles and many many more! Shida night market is accessible from the MRT Kuting stop!
We were dead thirsty after the confucious temple, so our first stop was iced shaved mango a.k.a "Mango Lo" at some dessert shop nearby! Sweet juicy mangoes on top with ice drenched with sweet milk beneath! :)

There was a long queue at this particular stall selling fresh steam pork buns!

The ladies at work preparing the juicy buns! :)

Fresh dough stuffed with minced pork!

One mini steamed bun cost about 70 cents. You can also opt 5 pieces for RM 3 or 12 pieces for RM 7.20! I reckon the price was pretty decent and the bun was oh sooo yummy! *slurrp*

Some random shots of legs and dog we saw at the market place... hehe... ok what's up next? Stay tune for more FOOD during our final day at Taipei! :)
